In an exciting showcase of athletic prowess and teamwork, the staff and students of Tranby clashed on the field in their annual hockey and netball showdowns this week.

The hockey match, held on Tuesday March 19th, witnessed a fiercely contested battle between the staff and students. However, it was the seasoned staff players who emerged victorious, clinching a 2-0 win. Goals from Mr Henderson and Mr Norris sealed the triumph for the staff team, showcasing their skill and experience on the turf.

Transitioning to the netball courts on Thursday March 21st, the competitive spirit remained palpable as three exhilarating matches unfolded.

In the first match, pitting Year 13 boys against girls, it was the girls who showcased their prowess, dominating the court with a resounding 12-3 victory.

The intensity escalated in the second match as the staff took on the 1st team. Despite the formidable challenge posed by the students, the staff demonstrated their expertise, securing a commendable 10-4 win.

The final match of the day saw the staff once again take to the court, this time facing off against the Year 13 boys. It was a close match but the boys claimed victory! 

Overall, the matches provided a platform for both staff and students to showcase their sporting talents while fostering a sense of community and friendly competition within the school.
