Fees

Fees from Reception upwards include lunch, stationery and the cost of most books (with the exception of examination texts).

A charge may be made in some practical subjects to cover the cost of an individual's materials or to contribute to the cost of a school trip. These charges will be applied to a pupil’s account with parental permission sought. Each public examination taken is charged as an extra. Download fees terms and conditions.

To support our families amidst the introduction of VAT from January 2025, we have thoughtfully adjusted our fee structure, absorbing a significant portion of this cost ourselves. This approach reflects our commitment to remaining an accessible choice for local families while upholding the exceptional standard of education and opportunities that Tranby is known for.

Registration fee (non refundable) £60

Acceptance Deposit £100

Unless stated otherwise, all deposits are refunded without interest after the pupil has left the School and after all fees and ‘extras’ have been settled.  If the pupil does not take up the accepted place, the deposit is non-refundable.

Music Tuition

The school offers instrumental tuition to pupils from Year 3+ on the following: violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, piano, percussion (including drum kit) and acoustic or electric guitar and vocal tuition.

These will be of 30 minutes duration and will normally be scheduled on an individual basis, although a shared lesson may be offered in certain circumstances. Pupils will have one lesson per week. Fees from September 2024 are £20.00 for an individual 30 minute lesson.

Scholarships

Each year, we are proud to award a limited number of scholarships to pupils who are capable of extremely high levels of achievement and who we believe will make a significant contribution to the life of the school.

Awards vary dependant on an applicant’s performance on the scholarship days and taking account of any portfolios and references submitted to support an application.

Fee Assistance

There are a number of options available to families who require assistance with fees; these include bursaries and trust funding.
