Prep School

At Tranby, we provide our pupils with rich and diverse learning opportunities, making the most of the outdoors and offer the highest quality of teaching and learning and pastoral care. Our early education develops our pupils and nurtures their potential, celebrates their successes and supports them wholly. A young person needs the greatest care and attention in order to nurture their personalities and build their self-confidence and from the first school years, our pupils are prepared in presentation to an audience, enterprise activities and charity. Building character and making a difference starts with inspiration. Our Tranby learners are ready to welcome exciting challenges across all aspects of school life.

The Tranby Way is our unique philosophy which underpins all that we do. Pupils learn to collaborate and negotiate. We create well planned and limitless opportunities for pupils to learn new skills and apply them to all areas of the curriculum. Our children are scientists, authors, historians, mathematicians and more. In this way, children want to learn and seek out their own learning opportunities.

Our mission is to produce well rounded, highly skilled people who walk out of the door and into a successful future. Small class sizes allow our teachers to really know your child as an individual, to give them more attention, have greater understanding of their academic profile and allows us to support them in the best way and provide means to extend their skills and knowledge so that they reach their fullest potential. Our wish for pupils is for them to be great young people; curious, hard-working, kind, to take risks and to be comfortable in themselves.

Tranby is the perfect environment for an education with character - an education which inspires and challenges children and ensures that their school life is happy and fun. The best way to learn about life in the Prep School is to come along visit Tranby and experience the engagement, breadth, and excitement of a normal working day.
