OPENING HOURS

  • 07:30 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday
  • 07:30 to 17:30 Friday
  • All year round or Tranby term time

Preschool closures for all-year-round pupils:

Closed:  Monday 22 December 2025. Re-open Monday 5 January 2026
Closed:  Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, Spring Bank Holiday Monday and August Bank Holiday Monday

Closed:  Thursday 27 August to Wednesday 2 September 2026 (inclusive) INSET

Paid sessions options:

Full day: (Mon–Fri) 08:00 to 17:30 (Healthy snacks and afternoon Tea included during term-time)
Short day: 08:30 to 15:30
Morning: 08:30 to 11:30                        
Breakfast: 07:30 to 08:00     
Lunch: 11:30 to 12:30
Late stayers: (Mon – Thurs) 17:30 to 18:00    

Full day (with no Early Years Funding) 08:00 to 17:30 = £60.00 (Healthy snacks and afternoon tea included during term-time)

Extra chargeable session:

Breakfast: 07:30 – 08:00 - £5 Private paid session (includes breakfast)
Lunch: 11:30-12:30- £3 Cost to cover lunch (term time only)
Late stayers: 17:30 – 18:00 - £5 Private paid session

The Croft closes at 18:00 (17:30 Fridays), after this time there is a charge of £10 per hour or part thereof.
In the interests of your child’s wellbeing and educational development, we recommend that our Explorers (children who will become 3 years of age between September and August) attend at least 3 morning or afternoon sessions per week, and that our Adventurers (children who will become 4 years of age between September and August) attend at least 5 morning or afternoon sessions per week.

Early years funding entitlement will be deducted from these costs.  Full fees charged for all bank holidays. 

THE CROFT TRANBY PRE-SCHOOL 15 HOURS FREE CHILDCARE OFFER

Early years funding entitles children up to 15 hours of free Pre-School sessions in term time (up to 38 weeks) from the start of the term after they have turned three. 

Eligible working parents will be able to apply for 15 hours funded childcare for their two-year-old, applications via:  https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/ Funded sessions options are:

Funded sessions will be available between 08:30 – 15:30.
(Maximum number of 7 funded hours per day, only available during the above times)

Sessions booked outside these funded times will be charged at the relevant rates as listed on the Tranby website, within The Croft tab, under Sessions and Prices.
