Tranby’s First Co-Curricular Open Event a Huge Success

Tranby’s First Co-Curricular Open Event a Huge Success

Tranby’s first open event dedicated to extra- and co-curricular excellence was a resounding success. Originally planned as a smaller, more intimate occasion, we were delighted to welcome so many new faces to our school community.

The sun shone on us once again, adding to the wonderful atmosphere throughout the morning. We are delighted that several families in attendance have now decided to join the Tranby family. We're glad to know that everything you saw on the day gave you a true sense of the opportunities on offer, and we can’t wait to welcome you!

A particular highlight was the F1 simulator race car positioned outside the main entrance. It proved an irresistible attraction, with everyone from the Head to prospective pupils eager to test their skills and set their fastest lap time. Many enjoyed the chance to step into the shoes of Lewis Hamilton, if only for a few minutes! Unsurprisingly, however, no one managed to beat the benchmark set by our very own GB3 Championship racing driver, Leon Wilson.
The music department dressed the main foyer beautifully for Tranby's Open Mic Morning, meaning visitors were greeted with a range of outstanding musical performances. From contemporary pop songs, to stunning classical vocal performances and indie hits of the 90's - what a way to start the morning!

From Tranby’s Medical Academy and Flying Club to outstanding Art provision and our newly launched Esports Club, the event showcased the breadth and quality of opportunities available beyond the classroom. The morning truly reflected the richness of Tranby life and the many ways in which pupils can explore their interests and talents.

We would like to express our thanks to the wonderful teachers and support staff for making the event such a success. To our exceptional pupil ambassadors who toured the visiting families and represented your school so brilliantly, thank you! You did Tranby, your families, and most importantly, yourselves very proud.

We are pleased to share that bookings are now open for our September 2026 Whole School Open Event. While it may seem some way off, it will come around quickly. We encourage families to secure their place at our flagship event of the year: https://www.tranby.org.uk/news-events/events/details/whole-school-open-event

We look forward to meeting you!
