This event raised funds for children in Uganda. At Hull Collegiate School we sponsor 25 children at an annual cost of £4,500. Many of the Ugandan children are unable to complete their education as it is very costly, or they must give up their education to work to support their families. Great Lakes High School in Uganda is run by a charitable organisation called CHIFCOD. The charity has a scheme whereby a child can be sponsored for a year, the cost of which is £180. All funds directly benefit the children at GLHS; the money pays for their education, accommodation, food, uniform, and healthcare. CHIFCOD is financially supported in the UK by "Kirima Ltd", registered charity (number 1128290).
