Victory for the 1st team against the Old Girls in yesterday's hockey match

General

Yesterday we welcomed some former pupils to Tranby for a hockey match against the 1st team. We were blessed with glorious weather and everyone enjoyed playing on our new fabulous AstroTurf pitch. At half time the scores were 1-1. The game finished 3-1 with victory for the 1st team with a goal from Annabelle and two from Helena.

Head of PE, Angela Davis said ''It was lovely to see former pupils and their families. A fantastic game played in great spirit. Let's not leave it so long until the next one. More events to follow.''

Headmistress, Alex Wilson said ''Thank you to our Old Girls and their parents for making the trip back to Tranby for the hockey match. It was so nice to catch up and hear the latest news. The game was full of energy and I thoroughly enjoyed watching from the sidelines. We have invested in a new AstroTurf which was installed over the summer holidays. The pitch is much-used by the School for various sporting activities and it was a pleasure to see the first offical match being played.''
