Success at the Cottingham Music Festival

Success at the Cottingham Music Festival

General

Tranby pupils excelled at the Cottingham Music Festival last weekend with many bringing home certificates and trophies including Year 6 Emilia and her sister Eva, who is in Year 3, and was the youngest by 3 years in her category. This was the first occasion she had competed in a music festival so it’s a huge accomplishment for her. A special mention goes to Year 9 Ava, who won first place in all of her classes.

Congratulations to Isabelle who won the Harp solo and ensemble class along with Alicia who came 2nd and Amy getting 3rd place with their respective groups.  They all played their solos brilliantly.

Well done to Year 6 Jack who came first in class in the own choice piano solo for those with Grade 3. Also well done to Year 1 Eva and Year 2 Oliver who both performed on the piano.

Well done to everyone who took part, we are so proud of you. Thank you to our fantastic music department for all their hard work and words of encouragement. Congratulations to a fantastic group of musicians, we know that we have many more outstanding musicians in school who we look forward to seeing perform next year.

Below are the results of the violin and viola pupils who all played very well.
