PSHCE for Senior School students

PSHCE for Senior School students

General

By the end of school, many students will leave home for the first time and live independently, possibly in distant locations. There is a balance between preparing students to manage their current lives and laying the foundations for managing future experiences. As students progress through school, this balance shifts towards teaching related to young people’s current experiences. It is essential we provide a comprehensive PSHCE education programme.

Today, students were involved in a variety of activities to learn about issues with real-life relevance to them, at a crucial transition point in their lives. These included the following:

  • First Aid
  • Stress Management
  • Drugs and Alcohol
  • Self Defence
  • Grub on a Grant
  • UniFrog
  • Human Rights

Thank you to our guest speakers Jo Joveini from Act Fast First Aid, Steve Hoey from Inspire Ignite, Danny and Jamie from Invictus Martial Arts and Emily, Sam and Kiera from East Riding Partnership.
