Sunshine, Showers and the return of the Slip ’n Slide: A Brilliantly Successful Tranby Summer Fair!

The 2025 Summer Fair at Tranby was an incredible celebration of community spirit, sunshine (mostly!), and good old-fashioned fun. Despite a sudden downpour midway through the event, nothing could dampen the mood – in fact, the rain did more than just clear the heavy air….it kickstarted the much anticipated slip ’n slide in spectacular fashion!

The fair was a true testament to the strength and vibrancy of the Tranby community, with an incredible turnout from pupils, parents, staff, and friends of the school. Thank you so much to all who attended, donated prizes, baked cakes and supported the event.

We owe a huge thank you to Friends of Tranby, our remarkable PTA, whose energy, commitment, and planning behind the scenes made this event possible. The setup and clear-up operation alone was colossal – and they did it all with smiles, enthusiasm, and tireless dedication to making Tranby even better for everyone.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to the many volunteers who ran stalls, supervised activities, and helped keep everything running smoothly throughout the day. Whether you were serving drinks, running games, or helping coordinate the madness of the tombola – your time and support made a huge difference.

A special shout-out must go to Paul, our incredible School Catering Manager, who kindly gave up his time to man the BBQ in 29+ degree heat! Paul, you were quite literally cooking – and melting – all afternoon. Thank you!

Thanks to the generosity and support of our school community, we raised a phenomenal £5,658, which will go straight into the FOT pot to fund future improvements across Tranby.
