Tranby Senior School Sports Day 2025

Tranby Senior School Sports Day 2025

The change in venue made for a different Tranby Sports Day this year but it also added to the community feel as we welcomed families to our beautiful grounds to watch their children compete! And the effort from all student's was truly commendable!

Tranby’s Sports Day on Monday, June 23, 2025, was a resounding success, despite the change in both venue and format.

Thankfully, the weather was cooler than the scorching heat of the previous week, and the rain mostly held off, which made for a perfect day of competition.

As always, the success of the event was thanks to the incredible spirit and teamwork of the Tranby community - staff, parents, and pupils alike.

With so many photos - many of which were expertly captured by our very own photography students - we've added them to this article in sections. Keep scrolling to read more and see the remaining photos from the day!

The results of the day were outstanding, with Venn House emerging as the overall champions.

We also celebrated some exceptional individual performances: Lloyd, who claimed Athlete of the Day with a series of impressive victories, and Sophie, whose outstanding 1500m performance had her year group buzzing with admiration.

While the change in venue meant that breaking a track record was unlikely, Sophie’s run was still the standout moment on the track.

Here are a few more highlights from Tranby Sports Day 2025!

New Record Set:
Lloyd C (Year 9) – Shot Put. Previous Record: 11.05m (Alex B, 2016). New Record: 11.38m. Well done Lloyd!

A special thank you to all the senior students who threw themselves into the spirit of the day - whether by taking photos, doing face painting, or simply supporting their peers. Everyone who participated in the events, cheered from the sidelines, or gave their best efforts deserves recognition.

We hope we haven’t missed anyone out because each and every participant contributed to making this day special. Whether you gained points for your house, ran a race in front of a crowd, or simply gave it your all, your efforts were truly appreciated. You all helped make this event unforgettable!
