Outstanding performance of Alan Parker's Bugsy Malone

General

On Thursday and Friday of last week, Tranby pupils gave an outstanding performance of Alan Parker's Bugsy Malone to a full house on both evenings. The cast performed with unique distinction and gusto and the comedy element of the production had the audiences smiling all the way home. The costumes and set design took us from Fat Sam’s Club to the New York docks, with Mr Webb's Fat Sam's Grand Slammers providing the music, adding considerably to the atmosphere.

A huge thanks goes to all the cast and crew and to the support and technical teams for their effort and commitment. Equal gratitude goes to all the pupils who were brave and talented enough to take part in an unforgettable production of the gangster musical Bugsy Malone. You gave a lot of love and it came back to you as the audiences gave a standing ovation.

A special thanks to Miss Burt who stepped in for Head of Drama, Mrs Asbury, who was unable complete the production due an injury. We are pleased to say she is well on the mend and is enormously proud, as are we, of all the pupils for a fantastic performance.
