Open Day 24 September

Open Day 24 September

General

It was a pleasure to welcome so many families at our Open Day on 24 September. The energy in the school was palpable as families toured the school, taking part in science experiments, sampling the delights of the Food Technology room, solving mysteries and puzzles in English and Maths and meeting our teachers and student ambassadors who were on hand to discuss the curriculum and answer enquiries as required. During the course of the morning families were invited to listen to an inspiring talk delivered by the Headmistress, Alex Wilson, and to sample the wonderful refreshments provided by the School’s catering team.

The Prep school was a hive of activity, with pupils showcasing their love of learning through a variety of activities. They carried out maths investigations, crafted clay tiles, took part in a speed typing competition and explored historical artefacts – all led by our Prep School teachers who each have a particular subject specialism that they teach throughout the school. Both new and current families were toured by our own Year 5 and 6 pupils who gave incredibly informative and detailed insight into life at the Prep School; we are very proud of them. Our dedicated team of staff were all on hand to discuss every aspect of the school.

If you were unable to attend our Open Day there will be further opportunities to visit the School this term through our School in Action Days. More details and booking on our events page HERE.

Alternatively, you are welcome to book a private tour with our Registrar, Sharon McEwan by completing THIS FORM or emailing Sharon.mcewan@tranby.org.uk.
