πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ¨We are super proud of Year 1 pupil Charlie who entered some of his artwork into competitions at the Eastrington Show last weekend. There was no children's category this year, so Charlie entered his painting 'Vibrant Grapes' into the under-21s category and came third!πŸ… Touchingly, this was the last painting Charlie and his grandfather did together before he passed.πŸ’› 🏠 He also entered a Lego house building class for children aged 6-7 and placed 3rd for his creation. Finally, the beautiful watercolour of a sailfish that Charlie created in Reception was awarded the consolation recognition prize in the watercolours category. Considering this category was open to all age groups, getting recognised for a piece done at reception age is a truly remarkable achievement! 🀩 πŸ‘ Very well done Charlie, we are super proud of you and know your granddad will be too. We can't wait to see your skills develop through the years. Encouraging children from reception age to express themselves through art helps them develop important skills and grow in confidence. Here at Tranby, we create a rich educational experience that enhances academic performance and personal development. πŸ“œLast week our Y7 pupils were fortunate enough to visit Stratford-Upon-Avon and explore Shakespeare's Birthplace. They toured the gardens of 'The New Place' and engaged in a fantastic workshop with the Royal Shakespeare Company which allowed them to dive a little deeper into their class play, A Midsummer Night's Dream.🎭 Our co-curricular excursions are a fantastic addition to pupil's classroom education. Why only study Shakespeare when you can be immersed in his world and see, first-hand, his profound influence on literature, theatre, and the arts?πŸ™Œ Our exceptional co-curricular opportunities help to bridge the gap between classroom studies and real-life application, creating a rounded education that opens the minds of our brilliantly inquisitive learners. If you'd like your child to have the same opportunities and experiences, why not get in touch to book a private tour of our beautiful school and extensive grounds? πŸ“ž01482 657016 🌐 www.tranby.org.uk #shakespeare #ShapingFutures #IndependentEducation
A huge well done to Y10 student Eva who has been selected for the 'In the Making: Sound and Music Artist Development Programme', a 12-month music course with a one-week residency this summer at the University of Huddersfield.πŸ‘ The application process included Eva writing four short essays showcasing her passion, understanding and appreciation of music, and highlighting why the judging panel should give her a place. We're really proud of you Eva, and we know your parents are too.😊 We can't wait to see you progress over the next 12 months and will support you every step of the way!πŸ€—
We are looking forward to seeing you all at our annual Sports Day on the 24th of June at Costello Stadium. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ As usual, we will be running a tuck shop for charity. This year we will be supporting the Rob Burrow Foundation in memory of the former Leeds Rhinos rugby player, who sadly passed away on 2 June after a courageous battle against Motor Neurone Disease.πŸ’› Please ensure you bring change if you would like to purchase anything from the tuck shop which will have a range of healthy snacks and treats. All proceeds from the tuck shop will be donated so if you would like to dig a little deeper for this brilliant cause, we are sure the Rob Burrow Foundation would be very grateful.πŸ™Œ Let the games begin!
