From September 2025, we are introducing a new Sixth Form fee of just £500 per month (£2,000 per term) inclusive of VAT. This is a new model of sixth form, opening up our outstanding academic provision to more families than ever before and providing more local young adults with a launch pad to their desired university or career path.
These two years are an opportunity to specialise and play to your strengths, as you prepare for university and a future career.
Subject options for 2026 are likely to be extended - please contact us now for an early discussion if you’re interested in joining Tranby Sixth in September 2026.
Unlike larger colleges, our learning environment allows for lively debate, meaningful discussion, and strong relationships between students and teachers where no one has to shout to be heard. Classes are big enough for debate, challenge, and sharing ideas, but focused enough that no one gets lost in the crowd. These two years are absolutely critical: we’ll help you get them right.
Independent data shows that Tranby consistently ranks at the top for academic progress across the region. Our students perform better than expected in nearly every subject, proving the power of our approach in adding value where you need it most – your results.
Our average Sixth Form grade places us in the top 22% nationally (covering both A Level and vocational subjects) and our average A Level academic grade places us in the top 24% nationally.
Destinations include top universities, sought-after apprentice programmes, meaningful gap years or employment. Our UCAS success rate is outstanding: last year, 96% of our Sixth Formers secured a place at their first-choice university. The remaining 4% secured their second place.
This sixth form college experience recognises that you are ready to start learning differently.
We are proudly known locally as a school that offers a warm and nurturing environment. This extends throughout Sixth Form with weekly pastoral touchpoints designed to meet the needs and interests of Sixth Form students, as you develop and grow into a confident, independent young adult.
Tranby students are down to earth, humble and open. They come from varying backgrounds and have an eclectic mix of hopes and ambitions. Some have dreams of improving the world through medical excellence, others want to bring joy through performance. But what they each have in common is a belief that their future matters, and a drive to make it count.
At Tranby, we nurture that belief, helping every student to grow in confidence, take bold steps forward, and leave us not only ready for university, but ready for life
The Tranby Sixth entrance assessment takes the form of a short interview, and we will ask your child’s current school to send us a reference including projected GCSE grades. The assessment helps us to understand more about your child, and ensure their chosen subjects are setting them up for success. We offer places to children who will thrive at Tranby, and where we are confident we can meet their needs and propel them academically, socially and professionally.
Places are limited. If your child is ready to rise to the challenge, and you're ready to give them the edge, get in touch today.
