I started at Hull Collegiate School in Year 7 and I have been privileged to receive an Academic Scholarship for my studies. I am currently studying Maths, Further Maths, History and Spanish, with the hope of continuing to study Maths at university, given my genuine passion for the subject.

This School has afforded me many opportunities to flourish both personally and academically, whether it be learning British Sign Language, participating in School sports teams or mentoring younger students in different subjects. I have always had a love for performing arts and being able to express myself in a multitude of different ways and have been fortunate to be take part in a number of School productions. Such opportunities have really allowed me to develop and see the best of teamwork, regardless of age, coming to a real, presentable end point.

I have enjoyed representing and being an ambassador for the School; not only through open days, touring and speaking at different events, but also through a range of academic challenges, being part of the winning Maths team and individual Maths and Science competitions. Being a passionate academic, I have enjoyed helping other A Level students, which has been incredibly rewarding.

I am extremely grateful and excited to have been selected as Head Boy for this year and intend to use this role to create positive change for our School community and I am committed to making a difference.

I joined the Hull Collegiate School community in Year 7 and have always fully immersed myself within the extensive academic opportunities offered by the School. On entering the Sixth Form, I decided to pursue A Levels in English Literature, History and Drama as these subjects enable me to combine my passion for analytical understanding with a love of reading and performance.

Whilst I hope to specialise in English Literature at university, I believe that access to a diverse array of opportunities is fundamental to personal and academic development. With this in mind, I became involved with the School's UKSDC STEM-based initiative, using my writing and performance skills to script and subsequently present the project virtually at different stages throughout the competition.  My involvement with the Enrichment Programme has enabled me to develop as a student by acquiring skills in fields as diverse as filmmaking to philosophical argument and debate. Furthermore, I have been an active participant within the School’s mentoring programme along with facilitating lunchtime Drama clubs, which have not only allowed me to engage with pupils in other years, but also to support learning within the wider school community.  However, what I have learnt most from studying at Hull Collegiate School is that with hard work, determination and a passion for learning, there is no ceiling to what can be achieved.

From an extracurricular perspective, my time at the school has also been incredibly rewarding and enriching. Having taken singing lessons at school, I became involved with the numerous opportunities offered by the Music department, from lunchtime performances to end of term concerts. However, it was within the Drama department that I really found my niche. Assisting with the development of School pantomimes encouraged me to push the boundaries of my imagination and combine my love for creative writing with the excitement of live performance.  I was able to advance these skills further through an active engagement with the school’s annual production. These opportunities have afforded me the chance to not only develop teamworking and leadership skills in an enjoyable and rewarding environment, but also to make memories that I will treasure forever.

It is an incredible honour for me to become Head Girl of Hull Collegiate School and a role that will undoubtedly provide an array of exciting opportunities over the coming year. I hope to represent my school both as a collective member of the Senior Prefect Team and as an independent ambassador, one who will uphold the core values and ethos of our School.

I joined Hull Collegiate School in Year 3. I am currently studying BTEC PE and Business A Level. I am very passionate about these subjects; they will also help me to get to the next stage of my education. I hope to move to America to help pursue my dream of becoming a professional golfer; if the opportunity doesn’t arise, I will study business management at university.

I have spent most of my School life at Hull Collegiate, so I have managed to experience lots of great opportunities that the School offers; some include playing for all the sports teams (rugby, football and cricket). The sports fixtures provide a great opportunity to mix with different people and have fun with my friends. I have also been on trips with School; I went on the ski trip to Gstaad which I thoroughly enjoyed and experienced a different part of the world.

I am very grateful that the School have given me the role of Deputy Head Boy in my final year and I look forward to being an ambassador and role model for the School.

I joined Hull Collegiate School in Year 7 and have just entered my final year studying BTEC PE and Geography for A Levels. I aim to go to university to study Dietetics in September 2022. I love trying new things and making the most out of the opportunities the school has to offer.

Since I joined the school, I have taken part in numerous sporting activities such as netball, rounders and athletics. In 2017, I participated in a trip to Disneyland Paris to compete in a European Netball Tournament in which our team came 3rd out of over 50 teams. This was an amazing experience that taught me a lot about teamwork and responsibility within a team.

In Year 11 I was given the opportunity to run a Year 7 Drama activity during lunchtimes which taught me how to approach and deal with different age groups by using different leadership approaches.

I am an active member of the School’s NSEA Equestrian team in which I compete and train my horse, Elle, in the show jumping discipline and am hoping to go and compete and represent the School in my final year. This programme allows me to take part in the hobby I love while representing the School.

Hull Collegiate School has allowed me so many opportunities and has given me the resources to achieve and aim for things I didn’t think was possible – I am honoured to be called the Deputy Head Girl for 2021/22.

I joined Hull Collegiate School in Year 7. In Sixth Form I am currently studying Biology, Chemistry and Maths with hopes to go into medicine in the future. I have a good, personal relationship with all my teachers which I believe is one of the great things at School alongside all the opportunities provided to pupils. These past 6 years have given me the opportunity to indulge in all the subjects I enjoy alongside the extra-curricular activities provided. This has ranged from attending Maths competitions at other schools or performing in School productions such as Lord of the Flies and even being allowed to make a digger in Design Technology. Hull Collegiate School has also allowed me to develop my communication and leadership skills through Biology mentoring for Year 8 which provided an opportunity to talk about and explain a subject I thoroughly enjoy.

The School is a very supportive community that cares about its pupils and their futures and especially during this pandemic as Hull Collegiate School have kept teaching and learning going forward while still protecting the pupils and teachers. I am very grateful for all the support I receive to help me progress after Year 13.

I joined Hull Collegiate School at the age of 3 and am currently in the first year of my A Levels. I study Economics, Geography and Business, with the hope of going to university next year and studying Real Estate with asset management and valuation.

Attending Hull Collegiate School has allowed me to experience a range of opportunities, including visiting the battlefields in Belgium, achieving my bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and learning sign language in enrichment sessions. I have also provided science mentoring to students in Year 8 during my time at the School and have been able to join a range of sports teams, allowing me to develop my communication skills and also provide me with the chance to work in a team, which I know will prove very useful in my future.

I am very grateful to have been able to attend Hull Collegiate School during my school life and am sure that the support given to me by teachers and the continuing opportunities that I am provided with will benefit me considerably when I attend university and throughout my working life.
