Year 11 Bobby has signed a two-year scholarship with Harrogate Town Football Club. The club confirmed the ten players who have signed at the club following the formation of their Category 4 Academy.

The Academy will compete in the EFL Youth Alliance North East with the match day squad including Bobby, plus members of their BTEC Education squad and U17s.

Bobby was selected following a series of trials held at West Riding FA. He will be studying the extended BTEC diploma in Sport, a coaching qualification and an A Level whilst living in the boarding accommodation at Ashville College.

PE Teacher Mr Windeatt said, ''Bobby is an extremely talented young man who has represented the School as captain since he joined. He has grown as an individual, demonstrating leadership and organisational qualities. We wish him all the very best as he begins his professional football journey and we will be monitoring it closely.''

Headmistress Alex Wilson said, ''We are all extremely proud of Bobby. He has worked really hard to gain this contract. It has been a pleasure to watch Bobby develop throughout his time at School. I wish him all the success in the future and hope to see him one day fulfilling his dreams and playing football in the Premier League.''
